Villa Fontine

Beautiful stone farmhouse situated in quiet and panoramic location in the countryside surrounding Lucca. This villa has been recently restored preserving its original architectural features and turned into a charming private country villa offering comfortable and tastefully furnished interiors. The house is near the main villa where the owners live but it is completely independent and is provided with a large private garden as well as a private swimming-pool. Small pets are allowed.
Distances: the small town of Orentano with food shops 1,5 km away, Altopascio with all kinds of shops and main services 5 km, the lovely town of Lucca 15 km away, Pisa (airport) approx. 40 km, Florence (airport) approx. 55 km away, the renowned town of Montecatini Terme with spas and golf courses 15 km, the coastline (Versilia) with beautiful equipped beaches about 40 km away.
At guests’ disposal: private garden equipped with tables, chairs and sun-umbrellas, large private swimming-pool with sun-beds (14 x 6 m – maximum depth 1,8 m – open from 25/04 to 15/10), furnished covered veranda, barbecue, table tennis, mountain bikes for rent. Telephone, high-speed wireless Internet connection, washing-machine, ironing facilities and vacuum cleaner available. CD and DVD available. Covered parking within the grounds. Horse-back riding facilities, tennis courts and golf courses are available in the surrounding area.
The rental price includes linen and towels change every Wednesday. Pool towels are provided at no extra costs.
Extra services: baby bed available free of charge. Extra bed available on request at € 100,- / per week (payable on the spot). Maid service available by arrangement (payment on site). On request it is possible to arrange breakfast and dinner service with wine tasting (payment on the spot). Painting and cooking lessons are also available by arrangement.

Services

Cooking lessons
Service available, all the season long, upon reservation before the arrival, for groups of 12 people maximum.
The lesson takes place in the villa and consists of the preparation of a complete dinner, from the appetizer to the dessert, with typical dishes of the Tuscan tradition.
You will learn to cook bread – a sort of ritual, for Tuscans – and crostini, Florentine crepes, bread soup, cacciatora style chicken and wild boar, figs cake and grandma’s cake.
The lesson begins in the morning, with grocery shopping, in the typical deli local shops and wine shopping directly by the farm, and ends in the evening with dinner, when you will taste what you have cooked (with waiter service).
For the grocery shopping, the guests will use their own cars and will be accompanied by the cook and by the owners.
The lesson is held by a professional cook and by the owners.
Price per person: € 100,00, with a minimum of € 800,00 (8 people or less), including grocery and wine shopping, lesson and waiter service for the dinner.

Dinners
Service available all the season long, with possibility to book it in advance, for groups of 12 people maximum.
Dinner includes a menu and it is possible also to organise special dinners, from the appetizers to the desserts, accompanied by typical wines tastings.
It will be served in the villa by a waiter who will also lay the table, extra personnel will take care of the dishes washing.
Price per person: € 50,00, with a minimum of € 300,00 (6 people or less), including dinner and waiter.
Dinner without waiter, with a professional cook preparing a chosen menu: € 200,00 excluding grocery shopping and wine.

Maid service

Wine tastings
Service available all the season long, with possibility to book it in advance.
At 10 km. from the villa, it is possible to organise wine and olive oil tastings in Montecarlo farm.
The visit has a duration of 3 hours and usually takes place in the afternoon. It includes also the visit to the small medieval hamlet of Montecarlo.
In the farm, it is possible to taste local wine and olive oil, accompanied by delicious typical Tuscan tastings: fettunta, typical salami, olives, pecorino cheese and small tomatoes.
Price per person: € 20,00 excluding transfer

Chianti Tour
Service available all the season long, for groups starting form 9 people + driver.
The Chianti Tour has a duration of 8 hours approximately, with some stops for tastings in the farms and a visit to the wine museum in Greve in Chianti.
Price of the Tour: € 380,00 + € 10,00 (approx.) per person for each tasting in the farms.

Watercolour lessons
Service available all the season long, upon advanced booking, for groups of 10 people maximum.
The lesson takes place in the park of the villa. With the guide of a watercolour painter, you will realise the visual interpretation of the beauty of the landscape and the emotions transmitted.
The lesson has a duration of 8 hours.
Price: € 500,00 including colours, brushes and painting papers.
