Splendid and ancient mansion situated in the heart of Chianti region, among vineyards and woods, owned from 15th century by the Medici family, who considered this property as one of their most prestigious estates. This property is surrounded by a gorgeous 80-hectare park offering an ideal location to relax in close contact with nature and to play sports.
Casa Guia has been recently and carefully restored, preserving its original architectural features and its ancient charm, and it has been turned into elegant and comfortable apartments, sleeping from 4 to 10 people each, all of which tastefully furnished with antique pieces.
The apartment named Casa Guia 5 is approx. 30 m away from the swimming-pool area, while all the other apartments are approx. 200 m away.
Distances: the small hamlet of Ambra with grocery shops 4 km away, Bucine with all kind of shops and supermarket 15 km, Arezzo approx. 30 km, Siena approx. 40 km, Florence approx. 60 km. The outlets (mall) of the Valdarno area are approx 25 km away.
At guests’ disposal: personal garden and barbecue for each apartment, shared swimming-pool (16 x 8 m – maximum depth 1,5 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09), tennis court, bowling green, table tennis, mountain bikes. Free Internet connection WI-FI available in eachapartment. Fishing facilities available. Parking within the property.
Extra services: additional sofa bed and/or baby bed € 75,- / week (to be paid on the spot). Maid service available by arrangement € 15,- / hour (payable on site). Extra change of linen during the week € 8,- for double beds, € 5,- for single beds, € 6,- / person for extra towels (to be paid on the spot). Baby sitting available on request € 12,- / hour (to be paid on the spot). Cooking service comprising 2 cooks € 17,- / hour per cook (food shopping and food shopping service are to be paid extra). Fax available at reception (open from Monday to Thursday from 8.30 am to 12.30 am and from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm, and on Fridays from 8.30 am to 12.30 am and from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm). Laundry service (in the town of Ambra) available at reduced rates (€ 5,- / kg) for Casa Guia guests.
It is possible to reserve extra activities like horse riding, polo, golf, spa, tastings, guided tours (payment on the spot). The olive oil, the wine and the products of the estate are available for clients to be purchased.
