Villa Fontine

This is a picturesque and beautiful villa in a remote area of Tuscany but within easy reach of Pisa, Florence and east for day trips to the Chianti route and Sienna. We were lucky and had lovely weather so were able to make use of the outdoor pool. We were a family of 9 and the villa was roomy and nice and warm. Silvia was extremely accommodating, allowing us into the villa early and welcoming us. She was very helpful when we left some important property at the villa and was very quick to respond to us.

The villa was absolutely gorgeous, in a picturesque setting with a beautiful surrounding property. The home was well curated with plenty of space for our 10 person group. We would love to come back and stay in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely villa, and Silvia and Lorenzo were so kind and helpful. Thank you both. The villa is fantastic, everything is there, and especially a warmth and comfort. The gardens are outstanding, thanks to Michele, who worked every morning to make it lovely. Our four year old grandson thought that the play equipment was the best ever, I thought the evenings views were! We would absolutely recommend this villa and the kind and friendly owners.

Staying here felt like home, being far from home. What an amazing and beautiful villa. everything so clean and neat. Incredibly friendly and helpful host. location also great to see all the beautiful towns in Tuscany.

Ein traumhaft schöner Urlaub liegt hinter uns. Super ausgestattetes Haus, absolut liebevoll eingerichtet, toller Pool, wunderschöner Garten, einfach riesig! Vermieter wahnsinnig freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert, jederzeit gerne wieder!

Prima woning in mooie, rustige omgeving. Alleen de twee bedden op de overloop was wat minder.

The Villa Fontine, aka Villa Niccolai, is a tremendous property, with excellent comforts, exquisite grounds, and a pastoral location. It is a very authentic Tuscan villa, looking small from the outside but is open and spacious inside. Multiple outdoor dining locations are available: poolside, under a new poolside curtained gazebo, in the garden, or under the porch awning. The owners, Angela (mother) and Sylvia (daughter), were gracious, warm, and welcoming. We did a special dinner with a chef the first night and it was divine. It is a great space for kids ages 4 and up (for younger tots, there are lots of stone stairs and the pool is not fenced), with plenty of room to run around outside. Only a few slight negatives: wifi isn't very strong so must stay close to host's house (no signal on porch or at pool); neighboring roosters start calling at 4:30 am, an authentic but not ordered wake-up call; the owner's house is very close to the villa, but owners not i!
ntrusive at all; gardening commences at 7 am or earlier each morning. Overall, it was a magnificent place to stay.

Location comment (5/5): Perfectly pastoral, it could be a little remote for some. Major supermarket is 20 to 25 minutes away by car, small village store is 10 minutes away. Lucca and Montecatini-Terme 30 minutes away, Firenze and Pisa within easy 1 hour drives.

What a wonderful home you have here. It was a joy to stay. We loved coming back and making dinner and playing cards or just talking about our day. The kitchen table is THE gathering place! Than you for providing such a beautiful place for all paople to come to.
We took many day trips to Lucca, La Spezia, Pisa, Montecatini, Camaiore, Portofino and others despite the rain! Quite beautiful all over warm paople, welcoming people!

The little touches such as lovely paintings, fresh flowers in our rooms made us feel very welcome and at home. Our boys had a wonderful time playing soccer with your family , and we really appreciate your kindness towards them. It is much larger in person than the pictures really show on the website. It was terrific and set up great for multiple family situations. The large eat in kitchen was tremendous. We cooked 12 out of 14 nights in the villa. The local vendors really have great food choices to prepare. Angela and her son were fabulous. They made a few calls for us when we had trouble with the rental car and even gave us some homemade pasta sauce.
