Descrizione
Torre del Cielo è una splendida villa per 10 persone dotata di un curatissimo giardino con piscina riservata all'uso esclusivo degli ospiti. La torre risale al 1600 e venne anticamente costruita come torre di avvistamento a causa della sua posizione dominante sull'intera valle sottostante. Alla fine del 1800 venne costruita accanto alla torre la casa che oggi viene affittata (adiacente alla torre). Lo stile toscano caratterizza gli ambienti (pavimenti in cotto, travi a vista, porte originali) e le caratterisitiche architettoniche originali sono state preservate. Arredamento molto confortevole.
All'esterno un ampio e sempre ben curato giardino di circa 1000 m2 ospita piante, fiori, bellissime rose e una panoramica piscina con annessa piscina idromassaggio Jacuzzi. Accanto alla piscina un bel gazebo attrezzato e un barbecue permettono di mangiare all'aria aperta affacciati sul medievale paese di Monterchi.
Distanze: Monterchi a 2,5 km, Cortona a 45 km, Siena a 91 km, Firenze a 105 km, San Gimignano a 147 km.
A disposizione degli ospiti: ampio giardino attrezzato, piscina privata (12 x 6 metri; profondità: 1,50 metri); nei dintorni è possibile organizzare escursioni in bicicletta, pesca, golf, passeggiate a cavallo, tennis ecc...
I proprietari della villa si occupano direttamente della casa: sono sempre disponibili nel consigliare ed aiutare gli ospiti a scoprire le bellezze del territorio.

Walking and cycling and fishing:
The villa is surrounded by stunning countryside, offering beautiful walks around it's land and the adjacent woods.
There are simply miles of country paths and tracks.
Guided walks are also available for all levels. The routes range from gentle strolls through to challenging climbs, and they all offer fantastic panoramic views and the chance to get back to nature.
Walkers have often reported seeing wild boar, deer as well as a whole variety of birds.
The woods are also full of porcini mushrooms, chestnuts and truffles (for those that know how to find them).
Cycling:
cycling with the famous hills of Tuscany, you can pick a gentle ride down into the village of Monterchi , or a full blooded Mountain Bike ride throud the woods.
Guided rides are available as a bike hire.
Monterchi hosts many organised rides from fun rides for all the family through to international races .
Fishing:
It is possible to fish in the private lake about 450 m. far to the villa, in the lake there are carps, perchs, trouts.
Horse Riding :
There is a riding centre approx 15 minutes away, for both experienced riders and beginners.
Lessons for children, with ponies, are also available there.
Golf Information:
Golf There is a 18 holecourse approx 30 minutes from the Villa.
Throughout July and August in Monterchi,In the gardens of the Madonna del Parto museum, every Wednesday night, Monterchi is host for music concerts. Covering Classical music, Jazz and more. The events are free of charge and after the concerts a buffet is served.
Fashion Outlets:
Within an hours drive, you can find Italys top fashion designers, as well as designer labels from all over the world. Among the names are Prada, The Mall (an outlet covering many designer names), Gucci. For our guests, we have a special discount card.
We also have a special agreement with other local select stores. These include Busatti (fine quality, hand made fabrics eg, linen, silk etc), Ciacci (beautiful jewellery, watches, collections, silver etc).
Wine Tasting:
We have a special agreement with a local Enoteca. Here you can try an assortment of local Tuscan and Umbrian wines, with samples of salamis and cheeses. If you want to try lots of wine then we can also take you and collect you afterwards. If you go on to buy some of the wine you have tasted, we have a special discount arranged with them.
Taxi Service:
Eating out in Italy normally involves drinking quality local wine!! If you would like collection/delivery to a restaurant then we can organise a taxi service for your group.

We were delighted with our stay at Torre Del Cielo.
The property was exactly as described and exactly what we had hoped for the week with our extended family of 6 adults and 4 teenage children.
Rosado, who was the owner and host, could not have been more helpful, with every attention to making our stay a success, and by giving us recommendations, and making reservations, for where to go, and restaurants to visit. He was truly amazing ! The villa was spotless, Rosado ( who lives in a nearby village) ensured the pool was cleaned every morning, and was a true friend to us all. We felt lucky to have found this villa. It could not have been better…

The villa and the garden are beautiful and very quiet. Peaceful with great view. A few négative points.... 1. The swimming pool was on a high level, many steps to climb. Awkard for anybody having mobility problem 2. The equipment of the villa is a bit outdated and would deserve a refreshment (sofa covers, bed covers...) 3. Only 1 TV channel which. The weather was wet at our arrival, it was cold and we would have appreciated to watch TV Other than that the owner has just been very pleasant and helpful. Good recommendations for visits and restaurants.

The villa was perfect for our family of 7. Each had a nice bedroom with bath. The views were incredible and we were able to take lots of side trips to Siena, Florence, Cortona, the wine country and other surrounding hill towns. After a long day of sightseeing, we took a day or two off and just enjoyed the pool and hot tub and went into Monterchi for our morning caffe and pastry. A highlight was getting to know our lovely host, Rosado! He checked on the property each day, cleaned the pool, watered plants and gave us great suggestions for places to visit, restaurants to try, where to park in various towns and got to know us as friends. We looked forward to his visits and chats about the villa and its history. Sleeping in a Medici lookout tower was so special! We will be back!

Great views and location for a visit to the wine country. The owner Rosado treats everyone like family and makes the visit most enjoyable. Meraviglioso!

Our group of 4 had a lovely week at the villa. As mentioned by others, Rosado is a wonderful and very helpful host. Beside useful ideas of local things to do, he helped us get a tyre fixed and one morning brought us a platter of beautiful pastries. The location is great for exploring the beautiful nearby towns and villages, we did this each morning enabling us to be back to enjoy the lovely pool in the afternoon. We would highly recommend Torre del Cielo!

The house is in a very quiet area. Thanks to the good shading you do not have the feeling that it is very hot. For 10 people this house is ideal. The owner is very friendly and gives interesting information about the possibilities in the area.

We absolutely loved staying here, the house is simply fantastic and the kids loved the pool. The host was one of the best hosts we've ever had on vacations like these over the years.

Loved the villa, had a wonderful time, great location. Rosado (owner) was incredibly helpful and made the stay a total breeze. Would highly recommend to anybody. Great local restaurants, very pretty area, easy to get to Sienna, Montepulciano, Chianti and Florence too.

orre Del Cielo is a beautiful and very well equipped villa to stay.
It has everything you would need for a very nice and relaxing holiday. It is also very child friendly.
Supermarkets and restaurants are in easy reach and a very short drive.
Rosado the owner is extremely friendly and very helpful. Thank you.
I would recommend this as an excellent and clean retreat for anyone to stay.

This villa is fantastic - we were 2 families of four plus another lucky adult who got the tower. Sublime location deep in the countryside, very luxurious experience with everything thought through well by the owner. Thoroughly recommend

Rosado was a fantastic host and did all he could to make our stay memorable. The villa was lovely..the bedrooms were large with excellent ensuites. The fifth bedroom in the tower is up a steep flight of stairs with the bathroom on the ground floor..so perhaps not suitable for older/younger guests. The pool was great in beautiful gardens. Table tennis room also fun addition. Would definitely recommend Torre del Cielo.

Our stay at Torre del Cielo was delightful. Our trip to Monterchi from the US was fraught with problems, delayed flight, lost luggage, etc., which brought us to Monterchi after dark exhausted and stressed. But when we woke in the morning the beauty and peace of the villa and the grounds restored our spirits. We are very grateful for the warmth, guidance and practical support of Rosado, who was always easily available and attentive.
