Lamia Santo Arcangelo

We stayed at the end of October. For us, a family of 4 (with 10 & 13 year old) , this was a fantastic property. We loved our time there. The outside area is beautiful, the trees and flowers - along with the great pool and seating areas. We made use of the pool daily, yes it’s fresh at this time of year, but we found a morning dip refreshing and set us up for our day activities. The villa is very quiet, private and a lovely escape from our busy lives. Inside has everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Vita, our host, provided us with a plentiful welcome basket to get us started - we were very touched by this effort. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean - we made good use of the coffee machine and cooked on several occasions. The air con units provided warmth in the evenings and a washing machine was also useful. Close by is the small town providing supermarkets and restaurants. We explored further afield - Lecce, Ostuni, Alberobello. We didn’t want to leave.

Lovely Puglia property. The owners, Vita and Giacomo attended to our every need. The house and grounds are lovely. They also provided a welcome basket, lists for local restaurants, and grocery stores.
It should be noted that the coffee maker was a bit tricky, but we managed with a Bigaletti style espresso maker. The hot water also didn’t last long so showers were short. Having a washing machine was a definite plus.
The nearest town is somewhat difficult to navigate as the roads are all one way. Took us a bit to get our bearings.
Overall, we would recommend this property.

Ein wirklich schöner Ort auf dieser Welt! Wirklich traumhaft, besser als online auf den Bildern.Sehr ruhig. San Michele ist mit dem Auto oder Fahrrad in 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Viele weitere Trullis und Ferienhäuser in der Nachbarschaft. Das gesamte Grundstück ist eingezäunt. Für uns mit Hund war das auch sehr entspannt. Sehr zentral gelegen, um Städte und Strände zu erkunden.
Danke an Vita und Giacomo für den unaufgeregten und sehr guten Kontakt und Service während des gesamten Aufenthalts.

The house was absolutely wonderful – it had everything you could possibly need and more for a perfect stay. Clean, tidy, with beautiful details throughout. The outdoor area was stunning: a lovely covered space where we enjoyed breakfast and did some crafts with our son, a spacious and well-maintained garden, and of course the great swimming pool where we spent countless hours – even in the evenings thanks to the pool lights. Communication with the owners was excellent. They responded quickly to our questions, even giving advice on medical matters and checking in afterwards to see how things went. They kindly invited us to their home for a drink and some snacks, while always being very respectful of our privacy. They let us know whenever they would be coming to maintain the garden and pool, and always did this early in the morning while we were still asleep. When we mentioned we would appreciate some extra blankets, Vita (the owner) brought them over that very same morning. Loved it

Très belle maison, accueil parfait.

We had a lovely stay at this house. The location of the house is amazing and central to inland and seaside, although it is a little, alone“ in the countryside, which is something one must like. The house, terrace and pool are very very clean.
Two downsides:
1) the beds are not so great.
2) a lit if mosquitos

The villa is very comfortable, well equipped, quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and eating on the terrace. Vita was very welcoming and gave us helpful suggestions of restaurants, supermarkets and parking. We had a great time!

Un petit coin de paradis à l'abri des regards au milieu des oliviers. Quel plaisir ces quelques jours passés dans le calme et la beauté des lieux. Les enfants ont pu profiter de la piscine en plein mois d'avril. Merci pour toutes les petites attentions : le panier garni avec les produits des producteurs locaux, le frigo rempli avec lait, jus et compotes pour les enfants. La machine à café professionnelle et la possibilité de profiter des citrons du citronnier du jardin. Merci beaucoup c'était parfait et l'extérieur est vraiment magnifique comme sur les photos ! ❤️

The villa was beautiful, clean and very well equipped and the owner made us feel very welcome. We particularly appreciated the welcome pack with lots of items so we could make a meal on our first night - very generous. The outdoor area was great with plenty of space and shade too.
Negatives:
not enough space to hang and store clothes.
Very inconvenient having to give the owner 500 euros in cash as as deposit on arrival. It's a lot of cash to carry and as a UK resident I now have 500 euros I don't want and will lose money exchanging it into £. It seemed a little pointless too as the owner spent about 5 minutes checking the property before she gave it back to me. Any damage caused to this value would probably only be noticed during a clean and fuller inspection. Next time I book a property I will be checking the deposit rules as I wouldn't book one again with a cash deposit,
I think 150 euros for a cleaner is very expensive. Italian cleaners must be paid about £30 an hour based on this fee

Meget dejlig have og pool. Helt ugenert og meget meget velholdt. Dejlig terasse med skygge stort set hele dagen.
Udendørs møbler konfortable.
Huset fint med handicap-venligt badeværelse. Imødekomne og venlige ejere. Tak for dejlige citroner og kirsebær.

Fantastic property and exactly like the pictures on the website. We travelled around Puglia for a few days before we stayed at the villa for a week. We were able to get into the villa a little earlier because we were already in the area. We met Vita and her husband, who took us to the villa. It was exactly what we hoped for, quite and secluded, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and exploring the different towns and village in Puglia but coming back to the villa to cool off in the pool and chill out under the gazebo. We were able to pick the cherries and lemons from the trees, which are scattered around the property. This was a really nice bonus.
We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a base to stay but also to enjoy some relaxing quite time at the pool.

A lovely, private, 2 bedroom villa, perfect for a couple or small family, beautifully landscaped grounds and private swimming pool, with a lovely cabana. Located on a very quiet road, near the small town of San Michele Salentino, which has a number of very good restaurants, supermarkets and shops.

We spent two weeks at this villa and found it to be quiet and enjoyable with lovely furnishings and an up to date kitchen, with everything one needs for self catering. The area is perfect for long walks and bicycle rides. It is convenient to Ostuni and the many other lovely "white towns" of Southern Puglia and not a long drive to the coast, with lovely beach towns.

Vita and Giacomo were perfect hosts, greeting us with a basket of Puglian goodies, and wine. They were responsive and caring. We enjoyed meeting them, they told us everything we needed to know about the area. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Super schöne Villa ca. 2 km außerhalb . Durch Alarmanlage und automatisches Tor gut gesichert. Wenig Nachbarn, nur Tiere. Toller Garten mit gut bewässerten Rasen / Blumen. Eigene Ernte von Feigen, Granatapfel und Kaki. Prima Ausstattung in Küche und Bad. Vermieterin spricht gut englisch - kein deutsch. Kontakt über Whats App sehr zügig.
Pool leider nicht beheizt und daher jetzt schon sehr kalt. Mülltrennung und Abholung kompliziert. Bessere Erläuterung ( gerne als Ausdruck auf deutsch ) im Haus von Vorteil. Keinerlei Handtuchhaken im Bad - im Sommer sicher o.k. , aber im Oktober wird es nachts schon zu kühl um draußen zu trocknen.

Sehr schöne Villa auf einem herrlichen Grundstück, ruhig gelegen, mit einem sehr gepflegten Pool. Äußerst nette, hilfsbereite Gastgeber!

Villa exceeded our expectations in all aspects and Vita and family are excellent hosts. We enjoyed beautiful weather for a late September stay so were able to relax in the garden and pool area as well as taking advantage of the central location to visit most of gorgeous Southern Puglia without the summer crowds!

La casa è bellissima! Si trova in una zona tranquillissima appena fuori da San Michele Salentino, ci siamo trovati veramente bene.
I proprietari Vita e Giacomo sono stati veramente gentilissimi e molto ospitali.
La proprietà corrisponde alle foto.
Il giardino è curato e pieno di fiori ed alberi di frutta che tra l'altro si poteva raccogliere. La piscina non è grandissima ma è molto bella e ci siamo divertititi con i bambini. Ampi spazi per rilassarsi fuori.
Ci sono le biciclette disponibili per tutta la famiglia.
La casa è completamente attrezzata, ci sono tutti gli elettrodomestici compresa aspirapolvere , lavastoviglie, lavatrice, microonde.
La pulizia assoluta dappertutto.
Consiglio questa casa sia per le famiglie anche per le coppie che cercano la tranquillità e relax.

Sehr netter, informativer Kontakt mit den Vermietern. Das Haus war sehr sauber, der Garten und der Pool ein Traum. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und unseren Urlaub richtig genossen. Ein Auto ist jedoch unbedingt erforderlich, um die nötigen Einkäufe etc. zu erledigen.
Wir können diese Unterkunft gerne weiterempfehlen.

It was the most perfect villa, very modern, clean and with all the comforts you would need. Very spacious and beautiful pool and garden. We absolutely loved it. Vita and Giacomo were excellent hosts and extremely helpful and responsive. It is one of the nicest villas we haved stayed in.

Magnificent property very well maintained and decorated with beautiful taste. The house is well equiped for a holiday place and everything is perfectly clean.

The owners, really nice and very available, assure a efficient service to make sure that your stay runs smoothly and without any problem.

I recommend this charming place as well for the property in itself as for its ideal geographical position to visit the Apulia.

Sehr nette und hifsbereite Vermieter, die stetts um Ihre Gäster besorgt sind.
Absolut ruhig gelegen. Ausstattung des Objektes und der Küche weit über dem italienischen Standard.
Auch im Garten kann sich am Obst bedient werden ( über Trauben / Kaktusfrüchte / Kirschen / Pflaumen / Kaki ).

Sehr großer und sauberer Pool.
Ideal für Hundebesitzer, da alles eingezäunt ist.

luxevilla, je betaal er ook genoeg voor maar alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Zeer netjes. Afgelegen en daardoor zeer rustig. Slaapkamers met airco. Mooi onderhouden tuin en zwembad. Vriendelijk onthaal, er wordt afgesproken aan het lokale benzinestation en dat is nodig want met de gps is het adres niet makkelijk te vinden. Tip: let dus goed op als je Vita volgt zodat je het nadien zonder problemen weet te vinden :-)
Enige opmerking die wij maakten: de buitenlichten gaan automatisch met een timer en die stond iets te laat geprogrammeerd maar dat zou aangepast worden.

Wir waren das erste Mal in Apulien und überwältigt: es war noch viel schöner als wir gedacht hatten und die Unterkunft war perfekt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

This house is a jewel in the heart of Puglia. It has been one of the best vacations ever. Surrounded by breath-taking countryside it's the perfect place if you want to relax as well as explore the historic cities in the region (Ostuni, Alberobello, Lecce, Poligano). Thank you!

The property is stunning and the location is beautiful. It is tastefully furnished and has all you need to relax. We've been to Italy many times but can honestly say Apulia is now our favourite part.
I would certainly recommend the Lamia: we will be back again!
