Il Frantoio

Good

We had a wonderful stay at Il Frantoio, and would certainly love to go back. Not only did we enjoy the property with the spacious farmhouse, refeshing pool and the rolling vineyards, but the restaurant conveniently located on the premises and the wine tasting with Cinzia were so delightful.

We had a great week, the property is clean and offers a lot of privacy. Friendly and competent reception and staff. Nice pool area (more umbrellas however would be great), Rooms are traditional italian style with moskito net at window, each has a small cooler and safe. Kitchen is large, appliances are aging a bit (coffee machine, toaster). Very good it has 3 refrigerators for cooling all food and drinks. We would surely come back again.

We were a family of 13 and the accommodation was perfect. We went in August so it was super hot but the ceiling fans helped and the pool was a life saver after being out all day. Communication with the management was excellent. If you get a chance to eat at the restaurant, do it. The food was delicious.

Wir waren eine sehr große Gruppe (14 Erwachsene, und 5 Kleinkinder) und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Villa ist für große Gruppen bestens geeignet, und auch die Küche und Sitzmöglichkeiten im Außenbereich sind entsprechend darauf ausgelegt. Die Villa ist traumhaft in Mitten der Weinberge gelegen. Der Pool ist sehr groß und bietet genügend Platz zum abkühlen. Mit dem Auto ist man in ca. 15 Minuten in Montelupo (nächst größerer Ort) oder in ca. 30 Minuten in Florenz. Zu Fuß kann man frühs ins Nachbardorf (Malmantile) spazieren (ca. 25 Minuten) und im Dorfcafe frühstücken. Die Kommunikation vor Ort mit Cinzia war exzellent, und wir haben auch eine Weintour gemacht, und sind im nahegelegenen Restaurant Essen gewesen. 100% Weiterempfehlung!

Il Frantoio is the perfect place for a large family holiday. We were a group of 17 including 4 young children and a baby. The villa is set high in beautiful Tuscan scenery amidst a vineyard and olive trees. It is rustic and spacious. All rooms are en suite with ceiling fans which is great and a super place for outdoor dining. For our group the private pool was perfect and helped the children to become competent swimmers and provided fun for the adults. There is plenty of seating/ poolside beds for adults. The BBQ worked very well for our family parties and the kitchen fitted to cater for a large group at meal times. Having the apartment for extra guests was very useful with more kitchen space and equipment. The villa is set in a peaceful location which was wonderful, especially to escape and feel safe during the pandemic. All the staff before and on arrival were extremely helpful and friendly- quick to respond to our queries. It was a very special holiday and will bring happy memories for years to come.

We already rented this amazing property last year and came back this August. Everything was wonderful just like last year - the pool, the house, the super nice terrace and garden... Eventhough there's Florence, Siena and so much more to visit and explore we hardly ever leave the house because just spending our days here is so incredibly relaxing. We just left but can't wait to come back in 2020 already! :-)”

We were a big group of people and had a wonderful stay at this property! The house has a nice pool and garden as well as a large covered terrace offering shade on hot days. It is situated quite alone on a hill so that staying up late chatting, playing the guitar etc. was absolutely no problem. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which is an amazing feature for a group this size. Also the kitchen offered everything one may need to accomodate big groups (large pots, enough dishes, dishwasher etc.). We enjoyed our week here very much and certainly hope to come back soon! :-)
