Villa Gualchiere

Beautiful location tucked away in the beautiful south of Tuscany. The road to it is rough, but the driveway makes up for it. Very peacefully situated with a thermal stream next to the house. A place we will definitely return to.

Villa Gualchiere was as lovely as we remembered it from the last time in 2022. We love the house, the furniture, the garden, the setting and the scenery. Sitting outside, we cannot see another house; we cannot see or hear a road, all to be heard are the nightingales and the breeze through the trees. There could not be a more restful place. Anyone considering booking it should be aware of the bonuses: a half-hour walk to the Etruscan Terme (natural hot springs), lovely walks in all directions and the proximity of some of he nicest towns in Italy, including Siena, Pienza and San Casciano itself.

It's a beautiful place with an amazing pool! The road to the villa isn't the best one and it can be very slippery during a rain period so make sure you're comfortable with this. Everything we needed was available in the house and the host was very friendly. We had some problems with the airconditioning because there was leaking water out of it, but I'm sure they'll fix it soon. Perfect destination for a relaxing holiday in the Toscane mountains.

An amazing Villa in an isolated and beautiful part of Tuscany. The location provided great access to local towns and villages and to the wonderful foods and wines of the region. The Villa was ideal and had everything we needed to enjoy our time. The pool and all of the facilities were clean and the hosts were responsive and helpful. We would thoroughly recommend Villa Gualchiere!!!

Wonderfully private location in a beautiful setting. Comfortable house will all amenities and a lovely pool (of decent size). Fantastic space for outdoor dining. Perfect private location in the hills near San Casciano dei Bagni. Would need a car to reach the villa (access road is rough and bumpy, but does not require a 4x4). Nice local restaurants and some small shops to be found in the village; big supermarkets are an about a 30 minutes drive away. Montepulciano a one hour drive away; Siena by car is about 1 hour 30 minutes away. Simona was very friendly, efficient and helpful, while not overly intrusive.

We had a very nice and pleasant stay. Lovely house lost in Tuscan countryside. Unfortunately the fireplace is not realy usable and kitchen could be slightly better equipped.
Overall we had a fantstic family stay.

A beautiful villa in perfect surroundings, very nicely renovated, with lovely pool and garden. We so appreciated staying somewhere without another house in sight, no road sound, no light pollution. Wonderful!
Our only criticism would be over the directions given to find the villa. When I followed the link, asking for directions from San Casciano dei Bagni, I was given a map showing a route apparently starting from the middle of the countryside. We eventually found it, followed it for about 10 km along rough tracks and over fields, ending up at a deserted ruin. We then followed it back to the other end, and fortunately found villa Gualchiere. It would be very easy simply to write instructions on the route to the villa from the centre of the town.

Our Host, Simona was excellent, very understanding and very helpful. Pool was a wonderful end to a busy day. Andreas keep it very clean. The whole stay was relaxing and a beautiful setting.

Simona hat uns gut betreut. Das Haus lässt keine Wünsche offen und ist wie beschrieben, nur die kurze Schotterstrasse hat es in sich, nicht zu empfehlen mit Sport Autos oder tiefer gelegten Alltagauto am Besten kommt man mit dem SUV. Simona (Hausbetreuerin) kam jeweils auch mit einem Jeep. Wir verbrachten als Familie ruhige erholsame Tage

+: Die freundliche, unkomplizierte und ausgesprochen kooperative Art, gerade mit unerwarteten Problemen (unsere verkehrsbedingte Verspätung bei Anreise, Schlüsseldeponierung) umzugehen. Vielen Dank noch einmal dafür! Ansonsten: Die Lage ist wundervoll, das Haus freundlich, die Klimatisierung hilfreich und der Pool ein Genuss. - Es war eine schöne Zeit!
- Bei der Küchenausstattung kann man nachbessern, es empfiehlt sich auch ein neuer Käscher für das Abfischen der Insekten aus dem Pool.

Wir waren 6 Personen (3 Paare) und wollten einfach mal in den Herbstferien entspannen; wandern, Thermalbäder und zusammen kochen. Alles ist uns in diesem schönen Landhaus ganz wunderbar gelungen!

It was just wonderful: quiet and in the countryside. The children could make as much noise playing in the pool as their wanted and we could just relax very well. The house is very welcoming and cozy! We are happy to come back.

Il nostro obiettivo era una settimana di riposo in campagna in assoluta privacy. Appena fuori città nel verde con piscina privata. È stato molto bello. Raccomandiamo la casa !

Sehr schönes Landhaus, wunderbar gelegen. Das Orcia-Tal ist sehr schön und landschaftlich sehr interessant. Auf jeden Fall sollte man nach San Casciano dei Bagni fahren! Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und sauber, der Garten gross und gepflegt und das Schwimmbad sowieso wunderbar!
