Casa Cipressi

Beautiful tuscany-style Villa in a quiet area of Sciano/Certaldo, surrounded by wheat fields and vineyards. Well maintained private pool and wonderful and romantic, huge garden with a BBQ grill area. Very friendly keyholder/caretaker.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Cipressi. The location is perfect, the accommodation is exactly as described, and everything you need is provided. We felt very comfortable from the very beginning. A special thanks to Isabel, the key holder – she is extremely kind and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful and perfect for both relaxing and exploring. Highly recommended – we would love to come back!

Die Casa Cipressi ist eine sehr schön gelegenes Haus mit einem tollen Garten sowie einem schönen Pool. Man hat ausreichend Liegemöglichkeiten und findet für alle einen Schattenplatz. Das Haus selber hat eine schöne Veranda auf der man zu sechst gut Platz findet. Im Haus sind zwei Schlafzimmer für 4 Personen, eines unmittelbar mit Bad, das andere Zimmer hat das Bad im Flur. Im Nebenhaus finden ebenfalls zwei Personen Platz mit Bad. Alle Fenster haben Fliegengitter, was es erträglich macht, Ventilatoren sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Wohn/Esszimmer hat eine Couch und einen Tisch für 6 Personen. Ein Teil der Küche ist ebenfalls im Wohn/Esszimmer. Die Spüle und der große Kühlschrank sind in einem kleinem Raum direkt daneben. Leider ist keine Spülmaschine vorhanden und der Herd könnte auch größer sein. Kaffeemaschine, Microwelle, Mixer sind vorhanden. Etwas mehr Küchenutensilien wären gut (Pfaffen). Die Stühle sind schön und alt, aber leider auch nicht mehr wirklich gut. Die Umgebung mit Voltera, Siena und San Gimignano ist schnell zu erreichen, Florenz ebenfalls nicht weit weg. Das Meer ist einen Tagesausflug wert, aber die Anfahrt in schon etwas länger. Es gibt jede Menge schöne Locations zum Essen und die Preise sind bezahlbar. Wir würden wieder hinfahren und können das Haus empfehlen.

A very nice an quiet place. From the Casa Cipressi quite a lot of nice places can be visited within a one hours drive. As it was already warm for this time of the year, the trees and den surrounding offered fresh air. The pool is well located and has a good cleaning system.

Das Anwesen liegt wunderbar eingebettet in der hügeligen toskanischen Landschaft.
Garten und Pool bekommen fünf Sterne!!!!!
Das Haus selbst, ist in Ordnung.
Alles sehr sauber.
Die Matratzen aller Betten, so wie auch die Stühle bekommen von uns die Note mangelhaft.
Das ist wirklich sehr schade und sollte unbedingt verbessert werden.
Schließlich gehört zu einem schönen Urlaub auch ein erholsamer Schlaf und gemütliches Sitzen.
Ansonsten ein wunderschöner Urlaub in zentraler Lage.

Schön ruhig und einsam. Perfekt zum Abschalten und für sich sein. Wir hatten als Familie eine sehr schöne und erholsame Zeit. Sehr freundlicher Check-Inn vor Ort, die Ansprechpartnerin war jederzeit erreichbar und sehr hilfreich! Was in der Anzeige fehlt: das dritte Schlafzimmer mit Bad ist in einem extra Bungalow. Wenn man mit Oma+Opa verreisen möchte perfekt :-)

A really nice holiday home but several things could/should be improved. Mainly in the kitchen area.

Das Haus ist schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen aber dafür umso charmanter. Der Pool ist ein echtes Highlight und das Grundstück ohne direkte Nachbarn ebenso. Die Lage ist perfekt für diverse Ausflüge in die Toskana und/oder Chianti. Die Schlüsselübergabe war total unkompliziert und nett. Danke an der Stelle für das Begrüßungspräsent.
Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Wir können die Casa Cipressi eindeutig empfehlen. Es hat so viel Charme, eine tolle abgeschiedene und komplett ruhige Lage sowie einen abwechslungsreichen Garten der zum Erforschen einlädt.
Wir waren Anfang Mai dort und der große Pool war wirklich frisch, erst Mitte Mai hatte das Wasser über 20C. Wir empfanden die schon mehrfach kommentierten harten Matratzen als wirklich angenehm und bequem, selbst für meine Wirbelsäulen geschädigte Frau.
Isabel unterstützte uns toll bei kleineren Problemen, die Übergabe bei An- und Abreise war völlig problemlos. Vorsicht, Google Maps wollte uns nach Tavarnelle über einen üblen Feldweg Richtung Sciano lotsen, da unbedingt der Anfahrtsbeschreibung des Vermieters über Baberino Val d'Elsa folgen.

Ein tolles Haus mit Pool und wunderschönem Garten. Wir hatten eine tolle Woche. Übergabe und Abnahme hat sehr gutr geklappt.

We had a lovely time at Casa Cipressi. The house remained reasonably cool and the pool was lovely. As you would expect from a rural property there was lots of wildlife- including 3 types of ants (make sure you keep food covered), lizards and frogs. We took the train from Certaldo into both Sienna and Firenze it was efficient and much more relaxing than driving. Enjoyed meals at the local restaurant. Isobel was welcoming and quick to sort out any issues.

We had a fantastic week at Casa Cipressi. Warm welcome from the host Isabel. The house is clean and fresh and is wonderfully located among the hills of Tuscany. The kitchen is spartan and small but well functional. The pool was nice and good with a robot vacuum cleaner that cleans every day. Some outdoor furniture needs to be replaced as it is worn and broken.

The house is really good and located at a nice, quiet environment. But at the same time close enough to all the Toscane highlights, so absolutely a good choice. On the other side, compared to the price, the value for money is not on par. The kitchen is very impractical (outdated) and there is no dishwasher available. The kitchen knives can easily be used by small children without the risk of being hurt. For the price of 2249 euro you would expect more!
We recommend the owner to cut some of the bushes around the house. Although you have a lot of privacy, it also prevents you from enjoying the beautiful view around the house. A pity.
A big compliment to our host, Isabel. She is very helpfull.

We would highly recommend the Casa Cipressi, it’s in a beautiful remote setting with lovely views from the entrance over the Tuscan countryside, vineyards and olive groves. We loved spotting deer in the hillside, although vineyard owners aren’t so enthusiastic, as deer nibble and damage the vines!
The large garden is a delight, and lovely to explore, it has a little pond with very noisy frogs which leap into the water when they spot you coming! The pool is well maintained with sun loungers available. There is a nice shady dining area outside the villa where we ate all our meals.
The interior of the villa is rustic but very comfortable. There are fans in all the bedrooms which was essential when temperatures crept up to 40C in June!
The villa is situated in a good position for sightseeing. Make sure to take the train from Certaldo to Firenze as it takes you to the centre of the city. We also enjoyed San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra and Certaldo Alto among others nearby.
Lovely place for a relaxing holiday, you won’t be disappointed!

Wunderschöner Garten, zum träumen und austoben. Das Haus ist perfekt für einen Toskanabesuch. Der Grill draussen ist herrlich und Certaldo in der Nähe eine wahre Entdeckung. Ganz toller Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen der wichtigsten Städte.

Wonderful peace and still very close to the town, which is very nice. The house and the garden are well maintained and beautiful, the garden even fantastically beautiful with its many plants and shady spots and with the great pool. We are very nice greeted and looked after and recommend the house gladly. Also for excursions it is the ideal starting point.

Sehr gemütliches Haus, perfekt für die ersten Herbsttage, denn das Haus ist so schön, dass es sich lohnt auch dort drinnen zu wohnen. Die Umgebung läd zu Spaziergängen ein und natürlich zu Stadtbesichtigungen. In Certaldi gibt es viele ganz kleine Restaurants, die fantastisches Essen anbieten. Nicht ganz billig.

This property has the most beautiful and peaceful garden, full of mature trees, and a stunning view, especially out the front of the house. It is isolated and peaceful and you need a car. The swimming pool is lovely though rather small, and is cleaned once a week. The directions for getting here are confusing and not terribly helpful. The kitchen is very well equipped though rather cramped for cooking. It is part of the open plan living area, which has very comfortable sofas and a good dining table. It is rather dark, as per old Italian houses, to keep out the heat. The terrace also has a very good dining table, though the chairs are a bit low. There are mosquitos outside at night and no anti mosquito equipment provided, though there are good mosquito nets on the doors and windows. The 3 bedrooms are all a good size and there are 3 bathrooms. The bedroom in the annexe has a small sitting area with sofa too. The wifi is intermittent and limited - ours ran out two days before the end of our holiday. The house is 15 minutes by car to Certaldo, which has a good supermarket and a lovely old town on the hill. The house is very well placed for visiting other hill towns. Altogether, we really enjoyed our peaceful stay here and would love to return.

We hebben vele uitstapjes gemaakt tijdens ons verlof maar het was altijd heerlijk thuiskomen op het vakantiehuis. Het voldeed voor de volle 100% aan onze verwachtingen qua inrichting en ligging.
